Our sought-after internship programmes offer an excellent opportunity to gain experience and contribute to work directly impacting the UK's economy.

First Year Internship

Our First Year Internship scheme is designed for undergraduate students in their first year interested in finding more about the Bank. These internships run for six weeks giving you the opportunity to support a team on a specific project across all areas of the Bank, from technology or HR to monetary policy and banking supervision. During this time, you’ll be paid a salary of £72 per day. 

You will experience excellent development opportunities – from a comprehensive induction to the Bank, through to a range of talks and networking events.

If your performance is outstanding, you will be considered for a Penultimate Year Internship or Industrial Placement. 

Penultimate Year Internship

This scheme is for first-degree students in their penultimate year. Our undergraduate internships pay £75 per day and run for eight weeks. You'll focus on an individual project, working closely with economists and analysts to collect and analyse data.

You will experience excellent development opportunities – from a comprehensive induction to the Bank, through to a range of talks and networking events.

If your performance is outstanding, we'll consider you for a place on our Graduate Programme or Postgraduate Internship.

 

Postgraduate Internship

This scheme is for students who have completed their first degree and are about to embark on their Masters year of study. The internship will run for eight weeks and you will be paid £85 per day.

Please note that we no longer offer a Postgraduate Sponsorship scheme.
